Chefs for Gemma, our annual benefit dinner, will take place twice this year! First, we will hold a virtual, online event on Friday, November 6, 2020 with a streamed program from 7-8 pm and an auction with fun items. More info is available here. Then, if public guidance allows, we will gather on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill for an inspiring and enjoyable event that will include a five-course meal, program about Gemma’s work with at-risk youth and families, and silent and live auctions.
This year, Chefs for Gemma will highlight the talented Chef Chad and Hanna Williams of Philadelphia’s celebrated restaurant, Friday Saturday Sunday. Since opening their Rittenhouse restaurant in 2016, Chad and Hanna and the restaurant have garnered many accolades including: receiving a “Three Bell: Excellent” review from the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Craig Laban, being named “Best New American” restaurant by Philadelphia Magazine, and appearing multiple times atop Philadelphia Magazine’s “Top 50 Restaurants” list, most recently in the #2 spot. Chef Williams was named “Best Chef” by Philadelphia Magazine and a Philadelphia “Rising Star.”
At Chefs, we will recognizing two individual honorees for their dedication and leadership: Paul Bergsteinsson and William Andrews, past Chairs of our two legacy organizations’ – theVillage’s and Silver Springs – Martin Luther School’s – Boards of Trustees, for their dedication and leadership. We will also honor Morgan Lewis LLP for their generous pro bono support and guidance of theVillage over many years.
Sponsorships are available ranging from $750 to $10,000 and include recognition benefits for both Fall and Spring events, and tickets to the dinner in April.
